Accepting these terms
By creating an account, signing in (including with Google) or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf, and "you" means that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
CloakingURL lets you create branded short links on domains you own and control how each click is handled: routing rules, A/B tests, link protection and cloaking, bot filtering, PWA install pages, deep links, link-in-bio pages, QR codes, analytics, conversion tracking, an API and webhooks (the "Service"). Work is organised in projects; each project has its own members, teams, domains, links and plan.
Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority where you live if higher, and give accurate information.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account and its API keys. Keep your password, multi-factor codes and keys secure, and tell us at [email protected] at once if you suspect unauthorised use.
- If you sign in with Google, your Google account's security also protects your CloakingURL account.
- Project owners and admins decide who has access to a project and with which role, and are responsible for the people they invite.
Plans, billing and PWA credits
- Per-project plans. Each project has its own plan with its own limits and features, as described on our pricing page. A person may own one Free project at a time.
- Prepaid periods. Paid plans are paid in advance for one month or one year. Plans do not renew automatically: when a paid period ends without being renewed, the project moves to the Free plan and features and limits above Free stop working. Renewing before the end extends the current period.
- Payment. Payments are made by crypto invoice in the token and network shown. You are responsible for sending the exact amount to the address on the invoice before it expires, and for any network fees. A plan or credit pack is activated once the payment is confirmed on the blockchain.
- PWA install credits. PWA installs are not part of a plan: each first install uses one prepaid credit. Credits never expire and are not refundable or transferable between projects. When a project has no credits left, hosted install pages stop offering the install; self-hosted apps may keep reporting installs, which are deducted from future credits.
- Usage limits. Monthly limits (such as tracked clicks, conversions and API requests) reset each calendar month (UTC). We may stop or throttle metered features for a project that exceeds its plan.
- Price changes. We may change prices and plans; changes apply from your next paid period and never to a period you have already paid for.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for unused time or credits.
- Taxes. Prices exclude taxes; you are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchases.
Acceptable use
You must not use the Service, or let others use it, to:
- link to or distribute phishing pages, malware, spyware or other harmful software;
- send spam or unsolicited messages, or promote content that breaks the law where it is shown;
- deceive or defraud people, impersonate others, or misrepresent where a link leads in a way that harms visitors;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- distribute child sexual abuse material, or content that promotes violence, terrorism or hatred;
- collect personal data from visitors without the notices and consent the law requires;
- probe, overload or disrupt the Service, get around its limits or security, or access other customers' data;
- resell or provide the Service to others as your own, except as allowed by a white-label plan.
We may remove links, block destinations or domains, and investigate reports of abuse sent to [email protected].
Cloaking, bot filtering and third-party rules
Link cloaking, destination masking and bot filtering are provided to protect your links and funnels — for example to keep affiliate parameters out of view, and to keep scrapers and automated traffic out of your analytics.
You are solely responsible for how you use them. You must comply with the laws that apply to you and with the terms and policies of any platform you use the Service with, including advertising networks, app stores, social networks and search engines. You must not use these features to show platform reviewers or moderators different content from what users see in order to evade their review, or otherwise to mislead platforms or the public. CloakingURL is not responsible for any action a third-party platform takes against your accounts or content.
Your content and visitor data
- Ownership. You keep all rights to the content you add to the Service. You give us a limited licence to host, copy, process and display it only as needed to run and improve the Service for you.
- Responsibility. You are responsible for your content, your destinations and your domains, and confirm you have the rights needed to use them.
- Visitor data. For information about people who visit your links, you decide why it is collected and we process it on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for giving visitors any notices, and getting any consents, that the law requires.
- Your domains. You must own or be authorised to use each domain you connect, and keep its DNS pointed at us for links on it to work.
API, webhooks and integrations
API access is subject to your plan's request limits. Keep API keys secret; anyone holding a key can act with its permissions. We may change or retire API endpoints with reasonable notice, except where a change is needed for security or legal reasons. Data you send to webhooks or third-party integrations leaves the Service and is governed by the recipient's terms.
Affiliate program
- Commission. Affiliates earn 30% of each payment (plans and PWA install credits) made for projects owned by an account they referred, during the 12 months after that account signed up. Taxes, network fees and refunded or reversed payments are excluded.
- Attribution. An account is referred when it is created within 60 days of a click on the affiliate's link; the most recent affiliate click wins. Accounts you own or control do not count.
- Payment. Commissions are held for 30 days, then paid monthly in USDT on TRC20 to the wallet in your dashboard once your available balance is at least USD 50; smaller balances roll over. You are responsible for a correct wallet address and for your own taxes.
- Conduct. No spam, misleading or deceptive promotion, trademark bidding on "CloakingURL", cookie stuffing, or fake, incentivised or self referrals. We may void commissions obtained this way, withhold payouts under investigation, and suspend affiliate accounts.
- Changes. We may change or end the program with notice; commissions already earned under the old terms will still be paid.
Suspension and termination
- You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account at [email protected]. A project owner can delete a project from the dashboard.
- We may suspend or terminate an account, project, link or domain, without refund, if you materially break these terms, if your use creates a security or legal risk, or if we are required to by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
- When an account is closed, links in it stop working and its data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Sections that by their nature should survive — including payment obligations, acceptable use, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law — survive termination.
Our intellectual property
The Service, its software, design and the CloakingURL name and logo belong to CloakingURL and its licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these terms. You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer or build a competing product from it. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
Third-party services
The Service relies on and connects to third-party services — such as Google Sign-In, Cloudflare, blockchain networks and the integrations you enable. Their availability and terms are outside our control, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that bot detection will catch every automated visitor, or that analytics will be complete.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, CloakingURL will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100 if that amount is less. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify CloakingURL against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your links and destinations, your use of the Service in breach of these terms or the law, or your violation of a third party's rights or a platform's policies.
Changes to the Service and these terms
We may change the Service and these terms. We will post updated terms on this page and change the date at the top; for material changes we will notify account holders by email or in the dashboard before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the Service, except that either party may seek urgent injunctive relief in any competent court. Before starting proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
